Sébastien Romain Teddy Haller, born on June 22, 1994, plays as a striker for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Originally from France, he started his career with Auxerre and later moved to Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie on loan in 2015, eventually signing permanently. After that, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany and won the DFB-Pokal in 2018.

In 2019, West Ham United in the English Premier League signed him for a club-record fee of €49.8 million (£45 million). Then, in 2021, Haller went back to the Netherlands, joining Ajax for a club record fee of €22.5 million (£18.8 million).

During his first six months at Ajax, he won the Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup. Notably, he became the first player to score in seven consecutive UEFA Champions League matches during the 2021–22 season.

Later on, he moved to Borussia Dortmund for an initial fee of €31 million. While he initially represented France at the youth level, Haller switched to playing for the Ivory Coast in 2020.

His notable achievements with the Ivory Coast national team include scoring his first international goal against Madagascar and winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he scored the winning goal in the final against Nigeria.

Haller, born in Ris-Orangis, Essonne, to a French father and Ivorian mother, was part of the France youth international team. He played in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico and made his under-21 debut in 2013.

In November 2020, Haller joined the Ivory Coast national team, contributing significantly to their success in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where they emerged victorious.

In 2022, Haller faced and overcame testicular cancer, returning to professional football in January 2023.
