“I just wanted to give you guys an update on what’s been going on.” As you can obviously see by my face, I have a syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which is caused by a virus that destroys the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves, paralyzing my face,” he explained.
“This eye isn’t blinking, as you can see. On this side of my face, I’m unable to smile. This nose will not move, therefore this side of my face is completely paralyzed.”
“For those who are disappointed by my cancellations of the upcoming events, I’m simply not physically capable of completing them.” As you can see, this is a serious situation. I wish this wasn’t the case, but my body is clearly telling me that I need to slow down.”
Ramsay Hunt syndrome is characterized by a painful rash around the ear, face, or mouth. When the varicella-zoster virus infects a nerve in the head, it causes shingles. This isn’t the first time the singer has been diagnosed with a mental illness. He was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2020, as you may recall.
“While many people kept claiming Justin Bieber looks like garbage, is on drugs, etc.,” he said at the time, “they failed to notice I’ve recently been diagnosed with Lyme disease, not to mention a bad case of chronic mono that impaired my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”
