Uba is from Akehe, Ute, in Benue State’s Vandeikya Local Government Area. His education began at LGEA Primary School in Akehe, but he later switched to Demonstration Primary School in Makurdi, where he graduated with a First School Leaving Certificate in 1979.
Uba attended Saint Michael’s Secondary School in Aliade and graduated in 1984 with a General Certificate Examination (GCE). Uba enrolled in Federal Polytechnic, Idah in Kogi State in 1987 and graduated with a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1989.
