The director of the hotel was detained after he was accused of firing a gunshot after an argument with a guest and staff members about paying for a room. Let’s read the full details below.
On Thursday, January 5, police in Lagos state detained one Kingsley Enageghe, the director of a hotel in the Surulere axis of the state, for allegedly firing gunshots at a hotel guest and one of his staff over the payment for a room at the hotel.
According to eyewitnesses, Enageghe invited his workers to provide an account of a room that was being occupied by one of its customers. The employees allegedly informed Enageghe that the passenger had paid for the previous days he stayed.
The director insisted on the guest paying the day’s fee, but the guest refused. Following a dispute, Mr.Enageghe allegedly walked into his office, pulled out a single-barrel revolver, and fired rounds at the guest and his boss on the legs, causing them bodily harm.
The injured personnel promptly reported the incident to the divisional police station, and the perpetrator was captured and the gun retrieved. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed the event to LIB. 
“The suspect has been arrested and will face charges as soon as the investigation is completed.”
