The singer raised $487,000 USD from fans in less than two days in November of last year, with a personal donation of $113,000 USD bringing the total to $600,000 USD.

I was like everyone other who has aided me in some capacity, which is why this tour is called “We Rise by Lifting Others.” I was terrified when it reached $600,000, and I thought to myself, “Can I keep this?” The artist then donated the entire sum to a number of Nigerian orphanages. Through song, dance, food, and fashion, the tour celebrates African art and culture.
